The German capital, Berlin, hosted on Wednesday the events of the “German-Syrian Economic Cooperation Prospects Forum,” attended by Syria’s Minister of Economy and Industry, Nidal Al-Shaar, the Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Abdul Qader Hasriya, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Berlin, Mohammad Bara Shukri.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that the forum—organized in cooperation between the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce and the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry—witnessed official participation from the German side, alongside the presence of several Syrian and German businessmen and traders.
It explained that the forum aims to explore opportunities for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and exchange views on prospects for developing them.
Earlier, Al-Shaar discussed “Syrian-German” relations with the German Chancellor’s Foreign Policy Advisor, Günter Sautter, focusing on issues of a political and foreign nature.
