In the presence of President of the Syrian Arab Republic Ahmed Al-Sharaa, the 2026 Arabian Horse Beauty Championship officially opened today at the International Elite Stadium at the Central Equestrian Club in Damascus.
The championship is held under the generous patronage of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic and is organized by the Syrian Arabian Horse Association in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Horse Directorate, and the Syrian Arab Equestrian Federation, under the umbrella of the European Conference of Arab Horse Organizations (ECAHO).
The championship comes as part of efforts to preserve the bloodlines of purebred Arabian horses, support their breeders, and strengthen Syria’s position in the field of purebred Arabian horse breeding, contributing to the advancement and development of the sector in accordance with international standards.
The championship is scheduled to feature competitions judging the beauty of purebred Arabian horses in accordance with the regulations and standards adopted by the European Conference of Arab Horse Organizations (ECAHO), with the participation of a selection of purebred Arabian horses and breeders from various Syrian provinces.
