The Media Institutions League kicked off yesterday, Monday, amid an atmosphere of enthusiasm and sporting competition, alongside a strong spirit of camaraderie and communication among employees of media institutions.
On the opening day, the Ministry of Information team defeated Al-Ikhbariya team 9–3, while the Al-Wahda Establishment team won its match against the Ministry of Sports and Youth team by a 3–0 forfeit victory.
The competition continues today with two matches at the Bocce Stadium in Al-Fayhaa Sports City. The first match will see Thawra Radio face Al-Ikhbariya, while the second will bring together the Independents team and Damascus Radio.
The tournament is organized by the Sports Journalism Committee of the Syrian Journalists Union in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports and Youth. It aims to strengthen ties of communication and camaraderie among media-sector workers and provide an opportunity for sporting competition in a friendly atmosphere marked by sportsmanship
