The Syrian Ministry of Interior, as part of the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic, participated in a specialized training course organized by the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The Ministry’s delegation included Brigadier General Samer Al-Hussein, Legal Affairs and Human Rights Adviser to the Minister of Interior, Brigadier General Nayef Abdul Majid, Director of the Counter-Terrorism Directorate, along with representatives from several ministries and relevant national institutions.
The training course aims to strengthen national capacities to address threats related to chemical weapons by providing participants with the latest international practices and procedures, while facilitating the exchange of expertise with OPCW specialists and representatives of member states. The program is intended to enhance institutional capabilities and reinforce international cooperation in this field.
