Syrian Foreign Minister Holds Talks with Lebanese President in Beirut on Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Economic Cooperation

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Al-Shaibani held talks with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, focusing on ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and further develop cooperation across various fields.

 

According to the Ministry, both sides stressed the importance of building Syrian-Lebanese relations on the principles of mutual respect and good neighborliness, in a manner that serves the interests of both peoples and enhances stability and coordination between the two countries.

 

The discussions also explored mechanisms to expand economic cooperation and open new horizons for partnership in areas of mutual interest, supporting development and advancing shared interests.

 

In addition, the talks addressed the latest regional and international developments. The two sides exchanged views on issues of common concern and underscored the importance of maintaining coordination and consultation regarding ongoing developments in the region.
