Dimasheq – News

UNESCO is working at the National Museum of Damascus to preserve cultural artifacts that were evacuated from the museums of Aleppo and Palmyra, restore and digitize documentary heritage, and strengthen the capacities of Syrian heritage experts and museum professionals with support from Germany.

These measures are part of UNESCO’s broader action plan for Syria, which also supports the Organization’s emergency response efforts in cooperation with other partners, including Italy, Japan, and the ALIPH Foundation.

These efforts are being carried out in close collaboration with Syrian institutions and contribute to strengthening resilience and supporting the country’s recovery through culture, education, and knowledge exchange.
