The Nastex International Textile Exhibition will open on 18 July at the Damascus Fairgrounds, bringing together a wide range of companies and organizations from the textile sector. As the first exhibition dedicated exclusively to textiles in the Middle East, the event will run until 21 July.

As part of its participation, the Ministry of Culture invites the public to visit its pavilion, which offers a cultural experience highlighting the history of Syrian textiles as one of the country’s most prominent elements of national heritage, showcasing the aesthetic and civilizational values passed down through generations.

The pavilion takes visitors on a journey through the evolution of textile craftsmanship in Syria, celebrating its authenticity and creativity through exhibits that reflect the skill of Syrian artisans and their contribution to preserving this rich cultural heritage, an integral part of the nation’s identity and historical memory.

The Ministry’s participation reflects its commitment to supporting traditional crafts and cultural industries, promoting the richness of Syria’s heritage, and raising awareness of the importance of safeguarding and passing this legacy on to future generations, underscoring the historical significance of Syrian textiles within the country’s cultural and civilizational landscape.
