In the presence of the Ministry’s guest, First Lady Latifa Al-Droubi, Minister of Culture Mohammad Yassin Al-Saleh inaugurated the Women Poets’ Evening at the National Library in Damascus. The event brought together a distinguished cultural and literary audience and featured a selection of prominent Syrian women poets, who presented poetry readings spanning a variety of themes and styles, reflecting the richness and diversity of the female poetic experience in Syria.
The evening celebrated poetry as one of the most significant expressions of culture and creativity, while highlighting the growing role of Syrian women in enriching the country’s cultural and literary landscape through their contributions to poetry, thought, and the arts.
The event also underscored the importance of supporting cultural initiatives that provide opportunities for writers and artists to meet, exchange ideas, and engage in dialogue, while strengthening the presence of literature and poetry in public life as essential pillars for fostering awareness and promoting the values of beauty and creativity.
