Al-Amal Khani Center Highlights the Importance of Primitive Reflexes in a Child’s Motor Development

Dimasheq – Special

Physiotherapist Mohammad Abdul Ghani, at Al-Amal Khani Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders, discussed the importance of primitive reflexes in infants and their role in the stages of growth and motor development. He explained that these reflexes begin to emerge during pregnancy, with some being stimulated during the birth process.

Abdul Ghani explained that primitive reflexes, such as the Galant reflex and certain reflexes associated with prenatal development, are an essential part of a child’s normal development, as each reflex is expected to integrate within a specific age range.

He noted that the persistence of certain reflexes beyond the normal age at which they are expected to integrate requires intervention through specialized motor activities and exercises. These aim to facilitate their integration as much as possible, thereby reducing their potential impact on the child’s daily life and development.

These efforts are part of the rehabilitation services provided by Al-Amal Khani Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders to support children and help them develop their motor and developmental abilities.
