As part of the Ministry of Culture’s activities at the 63rd edition of the Damascus International Fair, the Ministry launched the “Masarat… Towards a Generation that Builds the Future” program, as part of its efforts to enhance children’s awareness and instill a set of positive values and behaviors that contribute to building their personalities and developing their sense of responsibility toward their society and homeland.
The program presents an educational vision focused on introducing children to the concepts of building and destruction, not merely as physical concepts, but as two paths that can be reflected in the lives of individuals and society. Positive behavior, work, cooperation, and taking responsibility represent paths toward building, while negative behaviors, negligence, and indifference toward others can lead to destruction and weaken social bonds.
The activities of “Masarat” seek to communicate these concepts to children through simple and interactive methods, helping them understand the impact of their daily choices and encouraging them to adopt behaviors that promote cooperation, respect, initiative, and a sense of responsibility.
The program is not limited to the Damascus International Fair. Its activities are scheduled to extend to various Syrian governorates, with the aim of expanding its reach and benefiting as many children as possible, as part of an approach that seeks to make culture and awareness an integral part of human development.
This initiative comes within the framework of the role played by the Ministry of Culture in supporting activities aimed at children and investing in the younger generation through programs that combine culture, awareness, and interaction. Such initiatives contribute to developing children’s awareness of their surroundings and strengthening their ability to distinguish between choices that lead to building and those that result in destruction.
The “Masarat” program carries a fundamental message: building the future begins with human awareness and the choices people make. Instilling a culture of responsibility from childhood is an essential step toward raising a generation more capable of participating positively in society and choosing a path that contributes to building both people and the nation.
