The Latakia City Council issued a final warning today, Monday, to owners of commercial and service businesses, kiosk operators, and all those occupying sidewalks and public property, calling on them to remove unauthorized encroachments and regularize their legal status within a period not exceeding 48 hours.
The Council explained that the warning applies to kiosk operators who have exceeded the areas specified in their permits, as well as owners of shops and commercial and service businesses occupying sidewalks or public property without a valid official permit. It also includes permit holders who have expanded the scope of their occupation beyond the areas legally permitted.
The Council stressed the need to comply with the licensed areas and remove all violations before the deadline expires, noting that the competent committees will, immediately after the deadline, issue violation reports and take legal action against all violators without exception.
It added that the measures will include removing unauthorized occupations, cancelling permits, and closing kiosks or violating businesses when necessary, in accordance with the applicable regulations and laws.
