Under the patronage of the Syrian Ministry of Culture and in cooperation with the French Embassy in Syria, the Renaissance Art Association is organizing the “Fête de la Musique” celebrations in Damascus on Sunday, June 21, 2026. The event highlights music as a universal language that brings people together and promotes cultural dialogue and artistic exchange among communities.

This annual celebration reaffirms the importance of music as a bridge for human communication and a platform for showcasing artistic talent and creativity. Activities will take place across several of Damascus’ most prominent cultural and historical landmarks, featuring a variety of musical and vocal ensembles performing both Eastern and Western musical styles.

The festivities will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Damascus Opera House, where the Dixieland Orchestra and the French School Choir of Damascus will present musical and choral performances reflecting the spirit and cultural objectives of the occasion.

At 7:00 p.m., the celebrations will continue at the Talisman Hotel, hosting live performances by Panic Band, Shall Band, and Fayy Band, offering a vibrant atmosphere that combines contemporary music with innovative youth-driven artistic experiences.

The event will conclude at 8:30 p.m. at Azem Palace, one of the most distinguished heritage landmarks in Old Damascus. Guests will enjoy a performance of traditional Eastern string instruments, followed by a musical evening presented by Trio Abq, alongside a variety of vocal performances celebrating the richness and diversity of musical heritage.

The organizers emphasize that all events are open to the public and invite everyone to participate in this artistic celebration, which embodies the values of cultural openness and human connection through music, while reinforcing Damascus’ role as a center for creativity and the arts.

Admission is free and open to all.
