Anas Al-Dagheem, Director General of the Directorates of Culture and Cultural Centers, affirmed that the Ministry of Culture has no involvement in inviting Lebanese singer Mohammad Iskandar or any other artists to perform at events organized by private entities.
Al-Dagheem explained that invitations extended to Mohammad Iskandar and similar performers are made by private concert promoters and nightclub owners, stressing that the Ministry is neither involved in nor responsible for organizing such events.
He added that the Minister of Culture had issued a strict directive prohibiting anyone who had publicly supported the former Syrian regime from appearing on the stages of the Ministry of Culture.
Al-Dagheem concluded by praying that God grants success to everyone working for the good of the country and preserves the sacrifices of the martyrs, reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to its publicly declared position on this matter.
