The Syrian Postal Corporation announced on Sunday the reactivation of domestic parcel and goods delivery services between Syrian provinces, effective today, after a suspension that lasted for more than a decade.
The Director General of the corporation, Imad Al-Din Hamad, stated that the service, in its new form, will provide a more modern, faster, and safer mechanism for sending and receiving parcels and postal shipments weighing up to 30 kilograms, while simplifying procedures and enhancing service reliability at affordable prices for citizens.
He added that the first phase will launch through the central halls in postal directorates across the provinces, with gradual expansion planned to include postal centers and offices in various regions, contributing to the revitalization of the Syrian postal network.
Hamad also noted that the corporation is currently working to complete the necessary preparations to reactivate international parcel services and open postal exchange channels with neighboring countries.
