Under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the Syrian National Library in Damascus will host a poetry evening featuring a distinguished group of Syrian women poets as part of ongoing efforts to support the cultural movement and strengthen the presence of literary and poetic creativity on the cultural scene.

The event will feature poets Ibtisam Al-Sammadi, Basma Shaikho, Khuzama Al-Shalabi, Alaa Mustafa Ali, Safiya Al-Dughaym, and Wateen Al-Masri, who will present a selection of poems reflecting the diversity of their creative experiences and enriching the Syrian literary landscape.

The poetry evening will take place on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, at 3:30 p.m., at the Syrian National Library in Damascus. The event is expected to attract a large audience of writers, intellectuals, and poetry enthusiasts.

The Syrian National Library confirmed that the event is open to the public, inviting those interested in culture and literature to attend this gathering, which provides a platform for interaction between poets and audiences while contributing to the promotion of cultural activity and reinforcing poetry’s status as one of the most significant forms of literary expression
