Former Jordanian Minister of Labor and Investment Ma’an Qatamin affirmed that Syria possesses a deeply rooted industrial and civilizational heritage, stressing that its cultural diversity has always been one of its greatest strengths. He emphasized that the path toward reconstruction begins with reviving industrial production, restoring the competitiveness of Syrian products in regional and international markets, strengthening investment, and building economic partnerships that support sustainable development.
Speaking during one of the sessions of the Syria International Textile Exhibition “Nass Tex 2026,” Qatamin stated that Syria’s economic recovery depends on supporting factories, artisans, and entrepreneurs, while expanding modern industries driven by technology and artificial intelligence without compromising the country’s national identity. He also highlighted the importance of establishing genuine economic partnerships to help rebuild the economy and create new employment opportunities.
The first edition of the Syria International Textile Exhibition “Nass Tex 2026” officially opened today at the Conference Palace in Damascus under the patronage and in the presence of President Ahmed Al-Sharaa, with broad official participation, international delegations, prominent business leaders, and key economic stakeholders.
Held at the New Damascus Fairgrounds, the exhibition brings together more than 300 companies from over 20 countries, showcasing the latest products and innovations in the textile sector, including fabrics, home furnishings, curtains, furniture, textile manufacturing machinery, yarns, raw materials, digital transformation solutions, and advanced industrial technologies.
