President Al-Sharaa and the Emir of Qatar Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Regional Developments, Stress the Importance of Political Solutions

Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa held a phone call with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during which they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as the latest regional and international developments, particularly the current situation in the Middle East.

 

According to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), the call addressed prospects for enhancing the fraternal relations between Syria and Qatar and expanding joint cooperation in a manner that serves the interests of both countries and their peoples. The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and international developments and their implications for the security and stability of the region.

 

During the conversation, President Ahmed Al-Sharaa praised Qatar’s role in supporting de-escalation efforts and promoting regional and international security and stability. He also expressed appreciation for Doha’s diplomatic efforts to help contain crises and advance dialogue.

 

Both leaders stressed the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to reduce tensions and adopting political solutions and dialogue as the primary means of resolving crises. They emphasized the need to settle disputes through diplomatic channels and to work toward comprehensive agreements that ensure lasting peace while enhancing security and development across the region.
