Dimasheq – News

The Deputy Commander of the Internal Security Forces in al-Hasakah Governorate, Siamand Afrin, announced that the process of integrating the Asayish forces into the structure of the Syrian Ministry of Interior has officially begun and is being implemented on the ground. He noted that the first phase started today through interviews with 100 Asayish officers, as a prelude to their incorporation into the Internal Security Forces التابعة للوزارة.

Afrin explained that around 500 Asayish personnel from the people of Afrin, who have recently returned to their areas, will join the Public Security Forces there as part of ongoing security arrangements.

Regarding the issue of displaced persons, Afrin revealed plans to travel to the city of Raqqa to hold a meeting with the governor to discuss mechanisms for the return of Kurdish displaced persons from Raqqa who are currently residing in Kobani.

He also indicated that the Alouk Water Station, which is the main source supplying the cities of al-Hasakah and Tell Tamer with water, will resume partial pumping operations starting on the first of next July.

Alternative headline: Siamand Afrin: Integration of Asayish into the Syrian Ministry of Interior has officially begun, and Alouk station to resume partial operations in early July.
