The United Nations announced that no agreement has been reached on a mechanism to support students from Suwayda Governorate in taking their final exams within the governorate, despite holding talks with the relevant parties that focused on student safety and ensuring the integrity of the examination process.
In a statement published on its “X” account, the organization said that the discussions were launched out of a shared concern for the students’ interests and for ensuring appropriate conditions for them to sit their exams. However, existing challenges prevented the parties involved from reaching a final understanding.
The United Nations noted that the Syrian government will take responsibility for organizing the exams for students coming from Suwayda at accredited examination centers in Rural Damascus Governorate.
For its part, the Ministry of Education announced the issuance of final distribution lists for Suwayda students sitting the Basic Education and General Secondary Education certificates in all branches, confirming that necessary arrangements have been completed to facilitate their access to the examination centers.
The Ministry also confirmed the continued implementation of organizational and service measures required to provide a safe and comfortable examination environment, ensuring that the exams are conducted in accordance with approved standards.
