Under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, and as part of its efforts to revitalize museum activities and strengthen the community’s connection with its cultural heritage, Homs Museum is hosting an exhibition entitled “Stone Sculptures Week” from Saturday, August 1, 2026, through August 6, 2026. The museum will be open to visitors daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The exhibition features a distinguished collection of archaeological sculptures and stone artifacts that reflect the diversity of civilizations that flourished in Syria over thousands of years. It also highlights the artistic and architectural legacy they left behind, showcasing the depth of Syrian history and the richness of its cultural heritage.
The exhibition goes beyond displaying archaeological artifacts, offering an interactive cultural experience that allows visitors to learn about the fundamentals of archaeology, as well as the methods used to document and study archaeological finds. It also sheds light on the important role museums play in preserving and safeguarding human heritage.
The exhibition aims to raise public awareness of the value of Syria’s cultural heritage and encourage various segments of society, particularly young people and children, to discover the history of their country and engage with its civilizations. This contributes to fostering a culture of archaeological preservation and ensuring that this heritage is passed on to future generations.
