Minister of Culture Mohammad Yassin Al-Saleh, Minister of Tourism Mazen Al-Salehani, Minister of Endowments Mohammad Abu Al-Khair Shukri, and Damascus Governor Maher Marwan Idlibi inspected the ongoing restoration works at Al-Tekkiyeh Al-Sulaymaniyah in Damascus as part of efforts to monitor the rehabilitation of one of the capital’s most prominent historical and heritage landmarks.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the progress of the restoration project and received a detailed briefing from the project team on the implementation stages and the technical procedures adopted to preserve the site’s architectural and historical identity. They also discussed the mechanisms being followed to ensure that the restoration complies with approved engineering and conservation standards.
The ministers and the Governor of Damascus stressed the importance of completing the project to the highest quality standards, ensuring the preservation of the historical and cultural significance of Al-Tekkiyeh Al-Sulaymaniyah. They emphasized its role as one of Damascus’ leading religious, tourist, and heritage landmarks, contributing to the protection of Syria’s cultural heritage and highlighting the city’s rich historical identity.
