The activities of Buildex 2026, the International Construction Exhibition, officially opened today, Wednesday, at the Damascus Fairground, featuring broad participation from 710 companies and 1,400 brands representing 51 countries, including direct participation from 20 countries.
Ali Al-Hamad, Director of Public Relations at the Syrian Ministry of Local Administration and Environment, stated that the scale of participation in this year’s edition reflects growing confidence in the future of urban investment in Syria and increasing interest in the opportunities available within the sector during the country’s early recovery phase.
Al-Hamad explained that the exhibition showcases a wide range of sectors, including construction materials, renewable energy solutions, electricity and lighting systems, paints, insulation materials, HVAC equipment, pipes, elevators, ceramics, mixers, sanitary ware, aluminum, and glass products.
The exhibition also features companies and technologies specializing in water management and environmental sustainability, alongside real estate developers, engineering firms, suppliers of heavy, medium, and light machinery, as well as banking institutions and security and safety systems providers.
Buildex is considered one of the region’s leading specialized exhibitions in the construction and building industry, serving as a platform for showcasing the latest technologies, products, and services related to reconstruction projects and urban development.
