The Directorate of Antiquities and Museums in Aleppo has completed the first month of the Training and Reorganization Project at the Aleppo National Museum, implemented in cooperation with UNESCO, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the University of Florence, with the participation of students from the Department of Archaeology at the University of Aleppo.

The project aims to equip archaeology students and graduates with the latest museum archiving techniques, including database management, digital documentation, professional photography, and the creation of 3D models of archaeological artifacts.

The program also included a field tour of the museum’s departments, during which participants reviewed the achievements made under the project and learned about inventory, documentation, and archiving procedures, as well as methods for preserving and conserving artifacts in accordance with modern museum standards.
