Major Military Escalation in Yemen: More Than 300 Killed in Recent Days

Dimasheq News Platform

Several fronts across Yemen are witnessing a rapidly escalating military confrontation between government forces and the Houthi group, as fighting intensifies in the governorates of Taiz, Hodeidah, and along the western coast. The escalation comes amid advances by government forces in several locations and intensified airstrikes targeting Houthi positions.

Military sources reported that clashes over the past few days have resulted in the deaths of more than 300 people, including dozens of government forces and Houthi fighters. Sources also reported civilian casualties and the displacement of hundreds of families from areas affected by the fighting.

According to field reports, government forces have managed to recapture several positions in Taiz and Hodeidah, while military operations continue along several fronts on the western coast.

Meanwhile, the Houthis announced that they had carried out missile attacks and targeted military movements and commanders linked to government forces and their allies, as airstrikes continue against positions belonging to the group in several governorates.

The current escalation comes after a long period of relative calm, raising concerns about the expansion of the confrontations and their potential transformation into a new round of open warfare in Yemen, particularly as military mobilization continues on both sides of the front lines.
