As part of the closing events of Intangible Cultural Heritage Week, the Homs Directorate of Culture, in cooperation with the St. George Zaidal Scout Team, is organizing a special heritage celebration entitled “The Traditional Zaidal Wedding” on the evening of Wednesday, June 17, at the Palace of Culture in Homs.
The event comes as a celebration of local folk heritage and a revival of one of the most prominent social traditions that has formed an integral part of the collective memory of the Zaidal community across generations. The program will recreate scenes from a traditional wedding, featuring folk songs, chants, inherited customs, and festive practices that reflect the unique character of the local environment and the richness of its cultural heritage.
