The Arab Cultural Center in the city of Tabqa, in cooperation with Al-Sadd Club and the Syrian Yamama Foundation, announced the organization of the first chess championship in Tabqa, named the Martyr Rania Al-Abbasi Chess Championship. The initiative aims to promote chess culture and encourage cultural and sporting activities within the community.
The center invited chess enthusiasts and those interested in competing, from various age groups, to register and participate in the championship. It emphasized that the event seeks to develop mental abilities and sharpen strategic thinking skills, while also fostering a spirit of positive competition and social interaction among participants.
The championship comes as part of the efforts of cultural and sports institutions to revive diverse activities in the city of Tabqa and provide young talents and amateurs with an opportunity to showcase their abilities in one of the most prominent mind sports, which contributes to improving concentration and quick decision-making.
