Dimasheq – Culture
The Ministry of Culture has announced the launch of a short story competition titled “Let’s Continue the Story”, as part of a cultural initiative aimed at encouraging writers and creatives to document the Syrian story through literature and draw inspiration from the values of freedom and hope in creative works that reflect the transformations the country has undergone.
The Ministry invited writers and authors from various backgrounds to participate in the competition by submitting short stories that evoke the Syrian experience through artistic and human perspectives and contribute to shaping the features of a new phase, based on the idea that the Syrian story is still being written and that literature is one of the most prominent tools for preserving national memory and shaping the future.
The Ministry stressed that the competition is part of its efforts to support the literary movement, discover creative talent, and provide young writers and experienced authors with an opportunity to contribute to producing texts that express the reality of Syria and the aspirations of its people. This comes under the slogan “Let’s Continue the Story,” which symbolizes completing the chapters of the national narrative, beginning with “the first bud blossoming in the flower of freedom,” according to the competition announcement.
The Ministry explained that those wishing to participate can review the competition’s terms, submission procedures, and specified deadlines by scanning the QR code attached to the official announcement.
