Syrian Minister of Public Works and Housing Mostafa Abdul Razzaq discussed with Saudi Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al Hogail on Monday ways to strengthen joint cooperation in the fields of housing, urban development, and urban planning, on the sidelines of the World Urban Forum held in Baku.
The meeting witnessed the signing of a framework memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise in urban planning, housing, and sustainable development, in a way that supports urban development efforts and improves institutional efficiency in both countries.
Both sides stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing coordination during the coming phase, in a manner that serves development, recovery, and reconstruction projects in Syria.
The meeting also addressed the humanitarian and developmental support provided by Saudi Arabia to the Syrian people, in addition to discussing opportunities for cooperation in housing, urban development, and urban investment, as well as benefiting from modern experiences in smart cities and urban transformation.
