The Syrian Development Fund announced on Monday a plan for the initial allocation of $15 million in donated funds, aimed at directing resources toward the sectors most in need and the areas most severely affected, in a way that addresses essential needs and transforms contributions and donations into projects that support livelihoods and recovery efforts.
The Fund stated that the amount will be distributed across four vital sectors. Economic empowerment received the largest allocation, amounting to $6 million, with the goal of supporting families seeking employment opportunities that enable them to become self-reliant and rebuild their lives.
It added that the healthcare sector ranked second, with an allocation of $5 million intended to provide and improve access to medical care for patients and strengthen access to healthcare services. Meanwhile, $3 million was allocated to the education sector to ensure that children can return to school and secure their educational future.
The Fund also noted that the plan included allocating $1 million to the security and safety sector, which focuses on mine and rubble removal projects and enhancing emergency response systems, contributing to the restoration of safety and stability in affected neighborhoods.
