Minister of Culture Mohammad Yassin Al-Saleh honored members of the Ministry of Culture’s volunteer team in recognition of their efforts and initiatives that have contributed to serving the community. The ceremony took place during a cultural event hosted at the National Library in Damascus.
The event featured presentations on the team’s most prominent initiatives, including the Cultural Bus Project and the “Cleanliness is Culture” Campaign. Several volunteers also shared their personal experiences, highlighting how volunteer work has helped them develop their skills and foster a stronger sense of social responsibility.
Minister Al-Saleh emphasized that young people are a cornerstone in shaping Syria’s cultural landscape through the ideas and initiatives they bring forward, which promote the values of freedom, responsibility, and collective action. He noted that the Ministry views volunteers as active partners in the country’s cultural and social development.
He also called for making culture a powerful force for raising public awareness, countering hate speech and misinformation, and reinforcing the values of citizenship and social responsibility throughout society.
