Damascus Celebrates World Music Day 2026 with a Diverse Artistic Program Across Cultural Venues

The Syrian capital, Damascus, will host the celebrations of World Music Day on Sunday, June 21, 2026, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with the French Embassy in Syria and organized by the Artistic Renaissance Association. The event will bring together a distinguished selection of musical and artistic groups in celebration of music and cultural diversity.

The festivities will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Damascus Opera House, featuring performances by the Dixieland Orchestra and the French School Choir of Damascus, presenting a varied musical program.

At 7:00 p.m., the celebrations will continue at the Talisman Hotel, with performances by Panic Band, Shal Band, and Fay Band, offering a range of musical styles and artistic expressions.

The closing events will take place at 8:30 p.m. at Azem Palace, featuring a performance of traditional Eastern string instruments and a musical evening by Trio Abq, alongside a variety of vocal performances.

The event is part of ongoing efforts to support cultural and artistic activities, encourage creative exchange, and strengthen communication between different musical schools and artistic traditions.

The public is invited to attend the celebrations and enjoy the musical performances organized for this special occasion.
