The Syrian Minister of Finance, Mohammad Yusr Barniyeh, stated on Friday that the ministry continues to process requests to reinstate salaries for defectors from the former regime and eligible retired military personnel, as part of the previously announced plan, confirming that implementation is being carried out gradually and in an organized manner.

Barniyeh explained that the ministry has received a large number of messages regarding defectors’ salaries, with more than 111,000 applications submitted. These requests are being handled and reviewed continuously according to approved verification mechanisms.

He noted that more than 58,000 applications have been matched with the records available at the Insurance and Pensions Institution, and that a registration form link has been sent to all beneficiaries, according to the Syrian Al-Ikhbariya channel.

He added that around 52,700 beneficiaries have successfully filled out the form, while appointments are currently being scheduled to review the institution’s branches and complete the required procedures.

In his concluding remarks, Barniyeh warned against attempts by certain parties to spread rumors and disrupt the workflow, stressing that the ministry is proceeding with the implementation in a way that ensures justice and fairness for those entitled.
