The Creative Memory Foundation, in collaboration with artist Saad Hajo, inaugurated the cartoon exhibition titled “A President for No Reason… Bad Manners” on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the National Museum in Damascus, in the presence of a number of artists, cultural figures, media professionals, and art enthusiasts.
The exhibition features a collection of cartoon artworks presenting diverse artistic and critical perspectives that reflect social and humanitarian issues through a creative approach combining purposeful satire with contemporary visual expression. The works highlight the ability of cartoon art to convey ideas and viewpoints through a direct and impactful artistic language.
The exhibition is organized as part of ongoing efforts to support visual arts and encourage creative experiences that enrich Syria’s cultural landscape, while also strengthening the presence of cartoon art as a form of artistic expression capable of engaging with reality and addressing various issues through an innovative critical lens.
The exhibition will remain open until June 25, welcoming visitors to the National Museum in Damascus to explore the displayed works and learn more about the artistic experience presented by Saad Hajo through this exhibition.
