The Industrial Cities Directorate of the Ministry of Economy and Industry has announced the offering of 530 industrial plots for investment during the first half of this year, as part of efforts to expand the investment environment and strengthen infrastructure in industrial zones.
According to the Directorate’s data, 190 plots were allocated to investors, while 253 plots were subscribed to. In addition, 561 building permits and 49 administrative licenses were issued.
In Sheikh Najjar Industrial City in Aleppo, several service and investment projects were implemented, including the offering of 184 plots for subscription, the signing of a contract to develop infrastructure for the city’s 250-hectare expansion, the issuance of 395 building permits, the commencement of construction work on 221 facilities, and the entry of 33 facilities into the production phase.
In Adra Industrial City in the Damascus countryside, industrial expansion efforts continue with preparations for the opening of new facilities, while Hassia Industrial City in Homs has allocated 100 hectares to support its expansion plans.
Meanwhile, in Bab al-Hawa Industrial City in the Idlib countryside, 102 facilities have entered the production phase, while Al-Rai Industrial City in the Aleppo countryside continues implementing infrastructure development projects. In Deir ez-Zor Industrial City, the number of operating factories has increased to three, with 53 preliminary applications submitted for subscriptions to industrial plots.
