Understandings in Al-Hasakah to Reactivate the Judiciary, Release Detainees, and Accelerate the Integration of the SDF
On Tuesday, Al-Hasakah province witnessed a series of official and military meetings addressing several security and humanitarian issues, most notably the integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into the army, in addition to the situation of detainees and the reactivation of the Palace of Justice.
According to the provincial administration, Governor Nour al-Din Ahmad held a meeting with the presidential envoy tasked with overseeing the implementation of the agreement with the SDF, Brigadier General Ziad al-Ayesh. The discussions resulted in a set of understandings, أبرزها the reopening of the Palace of Justice under a specified mechanism in the coming days, efforts to secure the release of more than 300 detainees in the near future, and the exploration of ways to facilitate the return of displaced persons.
In a related context, military leaders in the eastern region discussed developments in the military integration process and mechanisms for organizing operations, emphasizing the need to expedite the handling of justice-related files, including reopening courts and releasing detainees as soon as possible, according to the Al-Hasakah Media Directorate.
The meetings were attended by several officials, including the Assistant Minister of Defense for the Eastern Region, Brigadier General Samir Ali Osso; the Commander of the 60th Division, Brigadier General Awad al-Jassem; and the Deputy Commanders of the Division, Brigadier Generals Modar Najjar and Haji Mohammad Nabo.
