The Syrian Ministry of Endowments has set the dates and conditions for the registration of Syrian pilgrims for the 1448 AH/2027 Hajj season, announcing that direct registration will begin on August 12, with the first payment set at $3,500.
In a statement, the ministry explained that direct registration applies to applicants born in 1958 or earlier, along with their companions. Registration will remain open until August 25, or until the designated quota is filled.
According to the statement, initial registration for the remaining applicants will begin on August 26 and continue until September 10.
The ministry stipulated that applicants must be Syrian and Muslim and must not have performed Hajj previously, with an exception for a male guardian accompanying his mother or wife, provided that neither has performed Hajj before.
The ministry also set the applicant’s age requirement at those born in 1997 or earlier, while companions must be born in 2009 or earlier. A female applicant under the age of 45 must be accompanied by a mahram, while those born in 1957 or earlier must have a companion. Applicants must also meet the required health and physical-capacity conditions for performing Hajj.
Registration is available either individually or as a family. The ministry explained that if the number of applications exceeds the quota allocated to Syrian pilgrims, 65% of those accepted will be selected based on seniority, while the remaining 35% will be selected by lottery according to years of birth.
Registration fees have been set at 500 Syrian pounds inside Syria, 400 Turkish lira in Gaziantep and Istanbul, and 500 Egyptian pounds in Egypt.
The ministry noted that the first payment for direct registration, amounting to $3,500, must be paid exclusively through the Sham Cash service or Al Baraka Bank
