Minister of Culture Mohammed Yassin Al-Saleh discussed with a delegation from the Saudi investment company “Samaya Investment,” headed by the company’s CEO, Fawaz bin Abdullah Al-Muharrij, the launch of a number of investment projects in the cultural sector, as part of efforts to strengthen cultural and investment cooperation between Syria and Saudi Arabia.
The proposed projects focus on connecting Damascus’s most prominent historical and cultural landmarks through integrated and sustainable routes, contributing to strengthening the city’s civilizational identity and highlighting its historical and cultural significance.
The projects also aim to support the cultural economy and boost cultural tourism by offering visitors an integrated experience combining transportation, arts, heritage, hospitality, and marketing, in coordination with the relevant Syrian authorities and institutions.
The meeting underscored the importance of leveraging investment to develop the cultural and tourism landscape while preserving historical landmarks, thereby enhancing Damascus’s position as a cultural and tourist destination and creating new opportunities for development and investment in the cultural sector.
