Syrian actor Jaber Jokhdar, one of the participants in the play “Rehearsal for the Day of Judgment”, stated that cultural justice plays a fundamental role in uplifting society through various artistic tools, noting that theatre, novels, drama, and poetry all contribute to strengthening values of justice and awareness.

In a special statement to Dimasheq, Jokhdar said:

“Cultural justice is what highlights issues through artistic tools such as theatre, novels, drama, and poetry. It always elevates society. A society without transitional justice finds it difficult to think about the future and will remain stuck in place.”

He added that official attention to this issue, particularly by the Ministry of Culture, reflects genuine intentions to support the path of justice and recognition of the rights of those affected, explaining that any step, no matter how small, can contribute to healing wounds that have not yet healed.
