The Syrian Arab Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts Federation held an expanded meeting of its higher committees, chaired by Federation President Mr. Saria Al-Jazaeri, and attended by Secretary-General Mohammed Al-Hourani, and board members Ala Al-Sheikh Naief and Thaer Al-Awad, in addition to heads and members of the higher committees. The meeting was convened to discuss the work plan for the upcoming phase and mechanisms for developing the sport.
The meeting, which brought together the coaches’ committee, referees’ committee, national teams committee, women’s committee, and the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) committee, addressed several topics related to the development of kickboxing and MMA. Key priorities included expanding the base of practitioners and improving the level of coaches and referees through qualification and development programs.
The participants emphasized the importance of continuing national team training camps throughout the year, in order to ensure a higher level of technical and physical readiness for upcoming competitions. They also discussed the mechanism for classifying and promoting coaches and referees according to approved technical standards.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the need to integrate the efforts of all committees to implement the federation’s plans, contributing to the development of kickboxing and MMA, and preparing technical staff and athletes capable of achieving strong results in regional and international competitions.
