The Syrian Ministry of Culture participated in the opening ceremony of the 11th edition of the Istanbul International Arabic Book Fair, attended by Deputy Minister of Culture Saad Naassan.
Through its pavilion, the ministry presents part of Syria’s cultural and heritage landscape by showcasing a selection of Syrian publications, along with examples of tangible heritage, traditional handicrafts, and elements of Syrian heritage inscribed on UNESCO’s lists.
The ministry’s participation comes as part of efforts to strengthen the presence of Syrian culture at Arab and international forums, promote Syrian cultural production and its diversity, and highlight the historical and civilizational values embodied in Syrian heritage, reflecting the richness of Syrian identity.
