Under the patronage of President Ahmad Al-Sharaa, the Ministry of Culture is participating in the Nass Tex International Exhibition, the first exhibition in the Middle East dedicated to the textile industry, which will be held at the Damascus Fairgrounds from 18 to 21 July.
The Ministry’s pavilion offers a cultural experience that highlights the history of Syrian textiles and their rich artistic and cultural heritage through a journey that combines the authenticity of traditional craftsmanship with the spirit of modern innovation.
The pavilion features eight cultural and heritage sections showcasing the various stages of textile production, beginning with cotton and thread, moving through traditional looms and weaving, the Syrian textile market, traditional costumes from Syria’s governorates, weaving arts, textile products, decorative motifs and ornaments, and concluding with Syrian garment materials and clothing products.
The Ministry’s participation reflects the richness of Syria’s textile heritage and emphasizes the continuity of this ancient craft as an integral part of the country’s cultural identity. It is a meeting point where the fragrance of heritage blends with the creativity of the present, ensuring that the story of Syrian textiles remains a living legacy passed on to future generations.
